Meet the Mount Vale Care Home team

Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:

Helen Lewis

General Manager

Welcome to Mount Vale Care Home, my name is Helen and I am the General Manager here.

My nursing career began when I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1983. After 20 years of working for the NHS, I moved into the 'private' sector and commenced a journey into care Home Management. I have worked for a number of well known care providers (including Barchester earlier in my career), before returning to Barchester (at Mount Vale) in December 2015.

Mount Vale is a beautiful home and I have found the care team to be extremely warm and friendly. I hope that if you come to take a look at Mount Vale, you will experience the same positive experience that I did when I first walked into the home.

Mary Blanchard

Deputy Home Manager

My name is Mary Blanchard and I am the Deputy Manager at Mount Vale. I started my career as a Health Care Assistant after leaving school, then went on to undertake my Nurse training, qualifying in 2007.

I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings including Hospitals and the private care home sector. I am passionate about delivering excellent, quality care for our residents.
