Activities at Marriott House and Lodge Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Hilda's 'Groovy ' Retirement Party

Residents and staff joined together to throw a '60's themed leaving party for Hilda on her retirement. Food, music and dress from the '60's' was the order of the day.  We had a great time and we know Hilda enjoyed herself.

Cooks Corner

The smell from the kitchen was divine as our volunteer Hilda and some of our residents created mouth watering apple pies and mince pies for our residents and staff.  The apples were sweet and home grown by Elaine our lifestyle co Ordinator. Bang went any diet,  the pies were delicious

It gives us great pleasure at Marriott House and Lodge to support  the ‘Baby Pamper Project’. This project delivers essential’s for new babies and young mothers.   Claire Took the ‘Voice and Partcipation office’ for CLA (children looked after) West Sussex  Council,  Becca, the lovely Emma Jones and her daughter Ava, received a cheque and essentials from residents of Marriott House and Lodge who knitted lovely hats and cardigans for the new babies and also donated £50 to the project. Ballet for All
