Marriott House and Lodge provides high quality care in a village-style community. We are proud of our community, which promotes independence within a safe environment by offering the support of residential care in the Lodge or high quality 24-hour nursing care in the House.

The Marriott team of highly qualified, attentive staff pride themselves on caring for not only residents, but their loved ones as well. You’ll find that we’re ideally situated to meet a wide range of care needs, from simply helping with day-to-day living to assisting with more complex care requirements.

Our award-winning gardens allow residents to enjoy a high standard of outdoor living in the summer months. Residents can play bowls, enjoy cream teas, fetes and numerous other daily activities, which provide stimulation in a tranquil environment. Our sensory garden allows residents with various levels of capacity to enjoy the safe, green spaces with independence and peace.

General Manager

My name is Maxine and I am the General Manager here at Marriott House & Lodge. Welcome to our website!

I joined Barchester Healthcare and Marriott House and Lodge in March 2019. I commenced my nursing career in the Royal Air Force.  I progressed from there to work within the commercial sector and the NHS as a Ward Manager.

I started working within care homes in 2011, starting as Clinical Manager and very quickly becoming a Home Manager, gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge within these roles.

I manage and I am very proud of my experienced team of staff within Marriott House and Lodge and I enjoy working with my team to ensure that all residents’ care and support needs are met in the highest possible way.
