Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Virtually and perfect Virtual Quiz
Marriott House and Lodge’s staff and residents pulled out all the stops by dressing up in their glittery Christmas best to link up with all the other care homes in the south of the country for a whole host of different fun activities culminating in the Barchester Big Quiz of the Year. When they weren’t quizzing, residents enjoyed a feast of festive foods prepared by the home fabulous Head Chef.
Our Residents Christmas Party
Last week at Marriott House and Lodge we had our residents Christmas Party. Due to restrictions our wonderful staff entertained with violin carols from Jay, singing from Georgia and Mwenya, more singing from all our staff, Christmas Quiz from Sarah (our quiz master) and a delicious homemade buffet from Our head chef Rob and his team.
The Mamouth task of wrapping up our wonderful Residents Christmas Gifts.
Its been a busy time here for our staff at Marriott House and Lodge getting ready for Christmas. After non stop shoping for our residents gifts we are now non stop wrapping the gifts. However the end result on Christmas Day will be so worth while.
It's starting to look a lot like Christmas
Marriott House and Lodge’s residents and staff have been busy creating lots of beautiful Christmas displays to make the home as festive as can be. The residents have also been crafting home-made decorations for the Christmas tree which they all helped to decorate.
Our Christmas cake is made and residents and staff are busy writing christas cards. It really is beginning to look allot like Christmas
Dawn Gracie
This week our residents and staff were treated to a vistit from 'Dawn Gracie' , the award winning vintage and variety performer and the creater of the vintage feel good box.
Our residents enjoyed singing along with festive songs like 'Santa Baby' and 'Merry Christmas Everyone'. Dawn Gracie is a real favourite here at Marriott Lodge and of course after Dawn Gracies sing along residents and staff enjoyed a mince pie and some christmas cheer
Festive Floral Displays
Its nearly that time of year again, so last week our talented residents spent the afternoon preparing Fabulous Festive Floral Displays to decorate our lovely home, making christmas special.
