Activities at Kingfisher Lodge Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

George Tantrum

Activities Lead

Hi, I am George and I am the Activities Lead here at Kingfisher Lodge. I have worked in healthcare for over 6 years and I have a passion for enriching the lives of the people in our home. We offer a wide variety of life enrichment activities within our home, from minibus trips and group outings all the way to spending some one on one time with our residents. If you pop into the home, the chances is you’ll find me, so come say hello!

Royal Wedding Celebrations

Here at Kingfisher Lodge, we celebrated the royal wedding in style. We had a buffet lunch so we could all watch the wedding together, and our fabulous chef, Karen, made us all a special elderflower and lemon cake treat. Everyone got into the spirit of the celebrations, including the Nurses, Hosts, and the housekeeping staff, which made the day extra special for residents.
