Kingfisher Lodge Care Home in Saltford, Bath

Kingfisher Lodge is ideally situated in the picturesque village of Saltford just outside of the historic city of Bath and close to Bristol. The home boasts beautiful views across the Avon Valley and it is a short walk to the Saltford Marina.

We provide 24-hour nursing care alongside expert care for those with Dementia in our Memory Lane Community. Our team of qualified and dedicated staff ensure that all residents receive professional, respectful and personalised care.

Dementia Care

We also provide specialist support for individuals living with dementia in our bespoke Memory Lane Community, where care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person centred approach. We have also invested in a 'Magic Table' for our home, an interactive light projector designed to support people living with dementia through mentally and physically stimulating games.

A sense of belonging is crucial to a persons well-being, so regardless of the complexity of their needs we strive to ensure residents value being part of the Kingfisher Lodge community and we value them. Kingfisher Lodge has been designed with this in mind, which is why you will get the feel of home-from-home when you walk around.

At Kingfisher Lodge we believe freedom of choice is paramount to everyone that stays with us. That's why, as well as the excellent locally sourced daily menu, residents have all day access to the coffee lounge which offers daily baked treats and freshly brewed coffees and teas, choice of daily papers. Along with the beautiful garden overlooking the scenic Kelston Round Top our lounges make ideal spaces to catch up with a loved one.

Calum Samways

General Manager

Hi, my name is Calum and I am the General Manager at Kingfisher Lodge. Welcome to our website!

I have worked in healthcare since 2014, starting as a Care Assistant, and I fell in love with the role instantly! I knew at the age of 18 that I had found my life’s passion! I have worked on progressing into a management role, which has included studying a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care. I also have extensive experience in nursing and dementia care.

My biggest passion in my job role is promoting and supporting equal opportunities, not just for my residents, but also for my team and friends of the home. My vision at Kingfisher Lodge is to provide a care experience that promotes the wellbeing of the residents, all while developing the skills and knowledge of my amazing team.
