Activities at Friston House Care Home
Our activity coordinators are constantly working to stimulate our residents both mentally and physically by organising group and individual activities for every one within the home to participate in. We have regular outings in our mini bus to various attractions within the area and in the summer we like to take our residents to the seaside, where they can enjoy fish and chips by the beach. Our activity programme is just one of the important aspects of the care home and we try our best to arrange the activities that our residents will enjoy.

I am David, I have been working at Friston House since December of 2023.
I have a background in the visitor attraction sector as an events and activities manager, working with families to create engaging, fun activities that result in long-lasting memories. It is my belief that care home activities should be just as fun, engaging, inclusive to all and worthwhile. Either as a group, self-led or on a one-to-one basis.

Employee of the Month - July
Kitchen Assistant, Paul Thankachan was named July's Employee of the Month at Friston House. Well done, Paul, and thank you for all your dedication and hard work that have made this well-deserved.
Herne Bay Trip
We headed of to the coast with with a few residents; as we made our way along the seafront, we had fish & chips for lunch and finished off with a delicious ice cream. We truly had a lovely day & the weather was perfect!
Evening Pub Quiz
Here at Friston House, we held our very own pub quiz! Complete with our own mini bar, bar maids & prizes for the winners. What a lovely evening we had with a great group of people.
Friston Olympics
We've been getting ready for this year's olympics by hosting our own version. We made the most of the beautiful weather by heading out and competing against each other in games of ring toss, target mats and tennis! Congratulations to the blue team who took victory. Everyone - even our staff - received a certificate for taking part,
Armed Forces Day Celebration
We celebrated and honoured all those currently serving in the British army & remembered all those who have fought for us in years passed. With a brilliant performance from Rob T & with Becca & Michelle getting dressed up in their army gear, we had a lovely afternoon, complete with lots of singing & dancing!
Care Home Open Day 2016
Our lovely staff got dressed up in their fancy dress costumes on National Care Home open day for a morning of reminiscence, and to enjoy a performance from Maxine & Dave, who were, without a doubt, amazing! Thank you so much to everyone who joined us to mark this special day - we hope you all had a lovely time.
