Activities at Friston House Care Home
Our activity coordinators are constantly working to stimulate our residents both mentally and physically by organising group and individual activities for every one within the home to participate in. We have regular outings in our mini bus to various attractions within the area and in the summer we like to take our residents to the seaside, where they can enjoy fish and chips by the beach. Our activity programme is just one of the important aspects of the care home and we try our best to arrange the activities that our residents will enjoy.

I am David, I have been working at Friston House since December of 2023.
I have a background in the visitor attraction sector as an events and activities manager, working with families to create engaging, fun activities that result in long-lasting memories. It is my belief that care home activities should be just as fun, engaging, inclusive to all and worthwhile. Either as a group, self-led or on a one-to-one basis.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Friston House Care Home
Musical Tea Party
We love a sing song here at Friston, so we held our very own musical tea party, with a superb performance from our very own Health Care Assistant, Glen! This was followed by a hearty singalong to our favourite songs as well as serving up homemade cake from our chef, Woody - and lots of tea!
Terry's Magical Entertainment
Renowned magician Terry Knight came to visit and shared with us his brilliant magical show. We were all dazzled by Terry, and all the kids who were on their half term came along to join in with the fun. Terry brought along a special guest, his very own Mr. Rabbit! We hope you all had a lovely morning.
Fancy Dress Party!
On April Fools Day, we held our very own Evening Fancy Dress Party, this is no joke! With a buffet spread, live entertainment, lot's of dancing and singing, we had a lovely time with all of our friends and family. Cheers M'dears to everyone who joined us!
St Patrick's Day!
Top of the Morning to ye! I don't know about you, but any excuse to have a knees up afternoon and we are there! We celebrated St Patrick's Day with a special performance from the talented Mr Rob T, there was a lot of dancing and singing along to our favourite songs! Next stop, the end of the rainbow!
Fristons Photo Shoot
Yesterday we held our very own photo shoot and invited in a local camera club who took professional pictures of the lovely residents, as soon as they are edited and processed the families can then take them away. This is the second time we have held this event and what a brilliant time we had. A big thank you to all of the photographers who joined us for our very own photo shoot! We had a lovely afternoon and created some beautiful and very memorable photographs.
Zoo Lab
Charlie from Zoo Lab joined us for a special visit as she brought her furry and not so furry friends to meet us! Simba the Giant African Snail, Fanta the snake and much more! We had a great afternoon, thank you!
