Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

Jaime Gilbank

Activities Coordinator Lead

I joined the Chorleywood Beaumont team in 2023 an activities coordinator lead. I  have worked in the care sector for over 9 years and I have been a wellbeing Activities lead for over 2 years.  In this time I continue to build a great knowledge of skills and experience in providing and implementing a variety of activities to cater and support for all needs. Suiting each individual, supporting the mind body and soul.  I am passionate about my role here at Chorleywood Beaumont, providing person centred support and  caring for the wellbeing of everyone. I am a people person and I love putting a smile on our resident’s faces. It is so rewarding and makes me happy.

Cornish Pasty Week

The team at Chorleywood Beaumont delivered delicious home baked Cornish pasties to The Royal Voluntary Service Lunch Club to mark Cornish Pasty Week. The Royal Voluntary Service Lunch Club in Chorleywood has been going for over 30 years and offers local people in the community a hot lunch and companionship on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at the Bullsland Hall. Nick Wrapson, general manager said: “We are very proud of our community and always looking for ways to ensure we stay connected within our local community groups. Everyone likes a pasty and so we thought it was a great opportunity to show our appreciation to our neighbours and also say thank you to those that support us and volunteer with us.

A Day Out

We went to visit Chorleywood village, the cricket club and then on to a lovely nature walk leading to Christchurch for a cup of coffee and tea meeting the vicar and his lovely team.
