Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

Life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Banjo the Pony!

We didn’t ask for a reindeer or a donkey, residents asked for Banjo the pony instead! Banjo came to celebrate one of our residents 100th birthday and Father Christmas made their wish come true on Christmas morning!

Banjo the Pony visits Chroleywood

Staff and residents at Barchester’s Chorleywood Beaumont care home, in Chorleywood, had a wonderful time meeting Banjo the Pony and his handler Sharon who assisted Father Christmas in delivering presents as the reindeers were resting after a hard night on Christmas eve.  Several of the residents got to feed the Banjo some of his favourite treats.  There were smiles al round and fabulous friendships made.

Chorleywood's Christmas Choir !

Every Wednesday, Warren from Christchurch Chorleywood leads our Chorleywood Beaumont Choir. This week we wanted to say thank you for all of his support and not only was this a special day as it was our last choir practice before Christmas but is was also Warren's birthday.

Happy Birthday Warren and thank you.

Festive Christmas favourites !

Staff and residents at Barchester’s Chorleywood Beaumont care home, in Chorleywood got in the Christmas spirit by inviting the community to come and join in with a carol concert in the home’s garden to sing some festive Christmas favourites.  The singing was led by local children from The Russel School and Christ Church School.

There was mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies with lots of other Christmas treats all prepared by chef’s, Callum and Malcom to keep everyone warm.

The the 19th hole at The Chorleywood Bar !

The cold weather didn’t damper our golf tournament today and the 19th hole (The Chorleywood Bar) was a real winner!

As some of residents are keen golfers and have played at the Moor golf club, Andrew having been a captain for many years everyone was keen to be involved.
