Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Tina Stovey

Activities Lead /Diversity Champion

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Ladies That Lunch

Ladies That Lunch

The ladies of Bushey House enjoyed a trip out to a local fish restaurant for a bite to eat.

Red Nose Day

We had a great day raising money for Comic Relief. Most of the team dressed in red and the home was decorated with balloons and lots of happy faces. The chef baked fresh cakes, each topped with butter cream icing. They were delicious!

Christmas Carols

Christmas Carols

We were entertained by St Hilda’s School choir who sang Christmas songs and carols around the Christmas tree a few days before Christmas. Our residents couldn't help but sing along with the children. It got everyone in the Chrismtas spirit! Thank you to the children for taking the time to visit us.

Remembrance Day Preparations

Residents painted beautiful red poppies on to large pebbles as part of our Remembrance Day preparations. Some wrote messages on the pebbles too, and a great time was had by all. We also opened our doors to the local community and invited them in for coffee and cake.

The Spires Garden Centre

The Spires Garden Centre

Residents and staff enjoyed an outing to The Spires Garden Centre recently. It's always nice to get out of the house!

October Flowers

October Flowers

The nights may be drawing in but flowers in the home help make everything warm & cosy. Alex Perkins, Activities Coordinator, enjoyed spending time with residents and arranging some flowers for Grandparents Day.
