Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Tina Stovey

Activities Lead /Diversity Champion

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Lunch Club welcome party

On Wednesday the 15th of January, Bushey house welcomed in members of our local community and the Bushey Lunch club that had been held previously at the sacred heart church.

The opening event was a great success, we had over 35 people attend who all commented on how fantastic the food and service was, How wonderful our staff are and just how beautiful the home is.

The Deputy Lord Left lieutenant of Hertfordshire came along to officially launch the club by cutting our cake

We will continue to run fortnightly Wednesday luncheons throughout the year and would love to see you join us.

Fantastic CQC Result at Bushey House

Bushey House Beaumont passed a recent Care Quality Commission inspection with an overall “Good” rating after being praised for a responsive, safe, effective, caring and well-led service.

The CQC inspected the home on 21st of November (the report was released on 17th December) and rated the home, run by Barchester Healthcare, as “Good” overall.

Natural History Museum

Recently we went to The Natural History Museum and the London Christmas lights. The journey was an adventure its self, we were stopped to allow the many vehicles, police escorts, including a helicopter, all on their way to the Nato Event being held back in Watford. “ See you back at home” one of the residents said in jest as they passed in central London. The Natural History Museum had a beautiful Christmas scene outside which we could not help but be tempted to explore. After a spot of lunch and viewing the dinosaurs, we headed off to see the Christmas lights, passing Harrods and the hustle and bustle of London that brought back many fond memories for our socialite residents. We are already planning our next outing with the rest of the residents!
