Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Summer Fête
On Saturday we held a summer fête with a BBQ, fruit platters, fruit cocktails, Pimm's, live entertainment, a raffle, face painting and much more. It was a beautiful day; the sun was shining and everyone had a great time!
Our Divisional Winner
Well done to Nolawtee Moorut, who was named as a Divisional Winner in the 'Care Practioner of the Year' category for the 2019 Barchester Care Awards.
Mad Hatters Tea Party
Every year we provide treats and refreshments as part of our Bushey Festival route, however this year we decided to host a Mad Hatters Tea Party! Everyone dressed up and enjoyed live entertainment with singing, dancing and plenty of cakes, and delicious desserts. Residents and staff members had fun and enjoyed the day.
Live Music Entertainment
James joined us for an afternoon, providing us with fantastic live music. He was definitely a hit among our residents who spent the afternoon swaying and jiving to his music, followed by refreshments on the lawn.
Flower Arrangements
Bushey House is ready for the summer. Residents and staff enjoyed a beautiful morning coffee while crafting floral arrangements for the home. Everyone loved the delicious home-baked care and freshly brewed coffee after the creative initiative.
Passover
At Bushey, we held a mock Passover Seder for our Jewish Community, which was conducted by Rabbi Kraft, who came and enjoyed a feast with the residents. There was plenty of reading, drinking and enjoying Passover traditions.
