Meet our Activities Coordinator, Hannah Clipstone
Hi, I am Hannah and I am the Activities Co-ordinator at Bushey House to ensure that everyone has a fantastic time! I coordinate bigger group activities with arts, crafts, music, floral arranging, quizzes and much more.
We have smaller activities as well and I also spend time one on one time with each resident sometimes having a cup of tea and a chat or doing someone’s nails! I am always open to new ideas and love being creative!
Activities at our home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Chef of the Year
Anvi Fejzullau was crowned as the national winner in the Chef of the Year category at the 2020 Barchester Care Awards, held virtually on 8th October.
The awards celebrate staff and volunteers who go the extra mile for the benefit of residents and patients living in Barchester care homes and independent hospitals.
More than 2,800 nominations were received from homes, residents, staff and relatives across the UK this year, which is nearly 1000 more than was received last year. Nominations were sent in by Barchester staff, but many more were also from residents and their families who have praised the fantastic care provided to their loved ones.
All entries have been of a very high standard, and Anvi is thrilled to have been declared as the national winner!
Divisional Chef of the Year
Congratulations to Avni Fejzullau, who has been named as a Divisional Winner in the 2020 Barchester Care Awards. Avni is a finalist in the Home Administration Champion category and has been invited to attend an awards ceremony on 8th October, where he will find out if he has won overall.
Game set and match to Bushey Residents as they triumphed over staff in our Wimbledon celebrations. Congratulations to Antoinette who took home first prize in the “anyone for tennis” themed fancy dress competition.
Strike a Pose
Bushey House has recently received such amazing community support and we are so thankful for this.
This week we wanted to show our Support for those other Key workers from Our Wonderful NHS to our local shop workers
One of our residents Joan got us all in the spirit with a photo shoot where we wore our support in our rainbow T-shirts
Loneliness Awareness Week
Last week we asked you to nominate people living in the community who are living alone and would like to receive an afternoon tea. We had 17 nominations, Bushey Beaumont’s wonderful chef Avni made delicious sandwiches, cakes and scones.
For our second big announcement of loneliness awareness week we have re-introduced visiting to Bushey Houses Gardens. We’ve had some emotional but happy reunions after a few months not being able to see our loved ones. We can wait to see everyone
