Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Mental Health Awareness Week
Last week was Mental Health Awareness Week.
Here at Bushey House we spent the week with a focus on keeping active, We had a gardening club, an Afternoon tea club and conversation group.
We really wanted to focus on the things that make us feel good
Meet Our New Manager
This week at Bushey House we welcomed our local community to meet our new manager, Victoria Forsythe.

Mindful Gardening
This week is Mental Health Awareness week.
At Bushey House we have decided to take part in various different Mindful activities to keep our residents active.
We were fortune to receive a donation of beautiful flowers from Aylett Nurseries Garden Center. Our Residents decided these would be best placed to update our Hanging baskets and got to it right away.
While we are all keeping safe in Bushey House we are always thinking of New Ways to keep ourselves Active both physically and mentally
Cameron Design House
Recently Bushey House had a donation of Face visors from Cameron Design House. We would like to thank the team there for thinking of us and dropping these off
Wonderful surprise from GIFT
GIFT Dropped of some lovely sos bags full of goodies for our staff, From healthy snacks to skincare.
These came as part of a local Jewish Community group called Gift (https://www.jgift.org/)
We want to say ‘a big thank you for such a thoughtful and beautiful gift’
Nurses Day Celebrations
We would like to say a HUGE Thank You to all of the wonderful Nursing team here at Bushey House. We celebrated with a small party and some lovely gifts for our nurses
