Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Wimbledon
Game set and match to Bushey Residents as they triumphed over staff in our Wimbledon celebrations. Congratulations to Antoinette who took home first prize in the “anyone for tennis” themed fancy dress competition.

Bushey House has recently received such amazing community support and we are so thankful for this.
This week we wanted to show our Support for those other Key workers from Our Wonderful NHS to our local shop workers

Loneliness Awareness Week
Last week we asked you to nominate people living in the community who are living alone and would like to receive an afternoon tea.
We had 17 nominations, Bushey Beaumont’s wonderful chef Avni made delicious sandwiches, cakes and scones.
Garden Visits
For our second big announcement of loneliness awareness week we have re-introduced visiting to Bushey Houses Gardens. We’ve had some emotional but happy reunions after a few months not being able to see our loved ones. We can wait to see everyone
Carers Week at Bushey
We had a wonderful week celebrating Carers Week. Staff were treated to a delicious Buffet lunch and goodie bags for all the carers. Residents join in for an afternoon celebration for our team
Our First ZOOM Relatives meetings
With communications moving more towards Digital every day. Bushey House decided to move our relatives meetings to digital to. With a lot of our families self-isolating or living far away we were missing speaking face to face.
This week we launched our first Relatives ZOOM Meeting. It was a great success we can’t wait for the next one
