Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Life at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Tutorial Art Class
Residents were treated to a step by step Art tutorial by very talented Artist Rob Ross. They put their creativity to work by learning his unique way of creating beautiful landscapes and skylines. The results were fantastic and everyone is looking forward to the next one.
Great British Care Awards
Staff recently spent an evening at the Great British Care Awards. It is a celebration of excellence in the care sector to recognise and award those for the wonderful work they do. Lynn Harvey the Administrator at Bushey won the award in the Ancillary worker category. We are so proud and have really enjoyed celebrating her success.
Quiz Afternoon
Martin one of the residents at Bushey House just loves hosting the weekly quiz for everyone. All the residents gather together in the lounge for an afternoon of friendly but competitive fun.
Fine dining alfresco
Is there more of an Idyllic and stunning setting to enjoy lunch in the beautiful sun. That's just where two of our residents wanted to be. Avni our head chef was more than happy to serve them a delicious three course lunch in the grounds of our grade 2 listed building. What a wonderful afternoon was had by all.
Mayor & Mayoress Visit
We were recently visited by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bushey, when we hosted a breakfast meeting in our grounds. We had a wonderful morning chatting to them and other local professionals. Our catering team served tea, coffee and a range of delicious homemade pastries and fresh fruit in our beautiful garden. We look forward to having them back again when we host more events for our local community.
Flower arranging
Our residents love the the smell of fresh flowers around the home. We are blessed with our surroundings. We had a lovely relaxed afternoon picking them, learning about them and then arranged them in various vases to spread around the home for everyone to enjoy.
