Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Wearing Pink for Breast Cancer
We raised over £80 for breast cancer care during our fundraising event. Residents, families and friends joined us in wearing pink for the day, enjoying our entertainment and helping us to raise money.
Neurobics!
On World Mental Health Day, we had a Neurobics taster session (exercises for the brain) delivered by Steve. We enjoyed this so much that we have now booked a 6 week course with Steve and we can't wait for the next session!
Meditation Session
We enjoyed a visit from our our regulars, Joan, on World Mental Health Day, who took a meditation session with residents and staff.
Therapeutic Art Club
We have some very talented artists here at Bushey House Beaumont who look forward to our Art Club. The Art Club is sometimes led by one of our residents who used to be an art teacher.
Bingo!
Another weekly activity we hold within the home is Bingo! We have some very competitive Bingo players here at Bushey House which makes the event very popular!
Our weekly quiz!
We are competitive bunch here at Bushey House Beaumont and love our weekly quiz! This is a very popular event within the home and we look forward to it every week.
