Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Tina Stovey
I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Life at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Discussion Group
Twice a week, here at Bushey House, we hold a discussion group for residents to discuss what has been happening in the world over the last week, whilst having a coffee and some cake!
Music Therapy
We enjoy our music therapy sessions together; residents join in either singing or playing instruments such as the violin.
Poetry Reading
We are enjoying our weekly get together for poetry readings. Residents chose their favourite poems and shared them with the group.
Art Class
Our art classes are lead by a resident who is a retired art teacher, and facilitated by the activities team.
Exercise Classes
Twice weekly exercise classes are always popular with Daniel, our visiting Physiotherapist.
Memorial Service
Mihealam our Activities Coordinator, organised a memorial service for the family and friends of Cissy. Mihaela sang for us with such passion and residents read poems; it was a very emotional afternoon.
