Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Lucy Lock

Activities Coordinator

Hello, I am Lucy and I have worked at Beaufort Grange since 2015, starting as a care assistant I have progressed to senior care assistant and now into my role as an Activities Assistant. It's always a pleasure to keep the residents updated with community activities. What I enjoy about my job is making everyone laugh and keeping residents and staff entertained. You will often hear me singing as I walk down the corridor!

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Bristol - Our Amazing City

Bristolians already know what an amazing city Bristol is, but if you want to find out more about this city's heritage you cannot beat a visit to MShed and Beaufort Grange residents took a visit to this fascinating museum. Everyone so enjoyed this trip and one resident was really touched by the Rolls-Royce of Pegasus as he worked on it at Rolls-Royce Filton.

Bonfire Night Fun!

Beaufort Grange residents had great fun celebrating bonfire night over the weekend with good old fashioned sparklers. We all greatly enjoyed twirling and twisting the sparklers, as we chatted about our memories of firework displays, from toffee apples to penny for the guy.

A Spooktacular Pumpkin Party!

We had a brilliant time at our pumpkin party!

First up, carving our pumpkins! Our creative residents showed off their pumpkin-carving skills, turning plain pumpkins into ghoulish masterpieces! And to top it off let's not forget about those Halloween-themed cakes!

Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun, and we can't wait to do it all over again next year!

Pumpkin Donation from Noah's Ark Zoo

What a treat we had visiting the local zoo! A huge shout-out to the wonderful team at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm for their generous donation of pumpkins to our care home.

Not only did they spread some festive cheer, but we also had the privilege of exploring their incredible zoo. Our residents were all smiles, taking in the sights and sounds of the animals. It's moments like these that truly brighten our days and create lasting memories.

A heartfelt thank you to Noah's Ark Zoo Farm for their kindness and for making this experience possible for our Beaufort Grange family.
