Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Lion King The Musical at Bristol Hippodrome

Beaufort Grange residents had a fantastic time yesterday afternoon at The Lion King Musical at Bristol Hippodrome what a spectacular show. The set, music and outstanding acting left us all mesmerised. So many of the residents have fond memories of the hippodrome and shows they have watched over the years making the whole experience even more special.

Dementia Support Cheese and Wine Evening

We welcomed Barchester's Dementia Nurse Specialist, Mary-Joy Albutt to Beaufort Grange. Mary-Joy spoke to families and team members about many aspects of dementia including the book "Dementia Beyond Disease - Enhancing Well Being" by award winning author Dr Allen Power and the importance of connecting with the individual and how you make someone feel.

Mary-Joy answered a range of questions and also spent time talking to those who wanted further information. Thank you to Mary-Joy for such an informative evening and also to our dedicated team many of whom came in especially for the talk.

A Walk in the Park

We had a lovely afternoon at Page Park Staple Hill Beaufort Grange residents thoroughly enjoyed walking around the grounds. Whilst there we visited the sensory garden smelling the variety of herbs, looking at the flowers and birds in the aviary. We also found ourselves in the Page Park prison! Page Park is a beautifully maintained park with so much history, we will definitely be visiting again soon.

Mini Beauforts Pick Flowers for Residents

We had a fantastic time at our latest Mini Beauforts at Beaufort Grange! The little ones got to spend some quality time with some of the residents, and we all had a wonderful time playing together the Mini Beauforts even picked flowers from the garden and were giving them to the residents.

It's always heart-warming to see the joy and happiness both the babies and the residents experience during these sessions. We are so grateful for the opportunity to bring some fun and laughter into the lives of those in the care home, and to provide a safe and inclusive space for families and friends to come together.  Thank you so much to all who attended and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Stoke Park Fundraising Walk

We couldn't have picked a better week for the Beaufort Grange residents' fundraising walk all around the Stoke Park Estate, our wonderful volunteer Jackie, residents, staff and families all set off along the accessible pathway for a most enjoyable walk. We met lots of people, dogs, had a bit of fun and took in the views over Bristol. We will keep you updated on the fundraising for the sensory trolley.
