Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Kelly’s Donkeys

Our residents and staff enjoyed a visit from Kelly’s Donkeys. As you can see our activity assistant Dan developed quite a friendship with Barney.

Stoke Park Estate

John enjoyed the scenery at our local park, Stoke Park Estate, which is only a short walk from our care home. It has recently been developed so it is more accessible for wheelchair users, we cannot wait to have some trips here next year.

Jubilee Celebrations

Residents, Staff and families celebrated the Queens Jubilee with our very own garden party. Our amazing chef and kitchen staff organised a BBQ suitable for all our residents. We all enjoyed the entertainment from the D Day Dollies and sing-a-long with music duo performers Sian and Rob.

Our Resident Panda

Betty, Don and Marion always enjoy a cuddle from our resident panda or they will sit and stroke and feed our robotic cat. This helps reduce stress and increases social interaction on our memory lane units. Dons reaction was to cheekily poke his tongue out at us, Bettys smile when she saw the cat says it all and Marion was sat laughing and joking with staff about the polar bear.

Easter

Our residents enjoyed a fun filled Easter weekend. Residents, staff and families all enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in the sun. Enjoyed sweets and chocolate from the sweet trolley, enjoyed visits from family and friends, enjoyed more chocolate Easter eggs. As per tradition we watched Songs of Praise and had some delicious hot cross buns.

Lola comes to visit

Lola, a residents family dog is back enjoying the attention from other residents and staff. She was really excited to see everyone.
