Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Lucy Lock
Hello, I am Lucy and I have worked at Beaufort Grange since 2015, starting as a care assistant I have progressed to senior care assistant and now into my role as an Activities Assistant. It's always a pleasure to keep the residents updated with community activities. What I enjoy about my job is making everyone laugh and keeping residents and staff entertained. You will often hear me singing as I walk down the corridor!
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

D-Day 80!
What a fabulous way to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day and remember the men who stormed Normandy beach. Given codename Operation Overlord, the D-Day landings is the largest sea-born invasion in history.
We had a fantastic performance from The D-Day Dollies Sophie and Emily or fondly known as “Sophily” to our residents.
Thank you Mini Concerts, they sang so beautifully that it brought a couple of residents to tears.
But there many smiles, singing and dancing from us all.
We ended the day with a Tea party where many residents reminisced with their stories on D-Day.

Father's Day
We had a blast for our father’s day celebration, Nick from Mini Concerts is now becoming a regular at the request of our residents, he gets everyone singing and dancing, he also stays for a little bit after his show to chat with the residents, which many like to shake his hand and thank him for a fantastic show. We then followed with some beer tasting for national beer day, with some classic dad beer like Hobgoblin and Old Speckled Hen, these went down like a treat and some of our residents said they felt spoilt.
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY from all of us at Beaufort Grange.

Get Barchester moving!
For Get Barchester moving week, we have been putting the ‘fun’ into fundraising. Staff, residents, families, friends and volunteers have enjoyed a selection of active activities. A walk around Stoke Park, it was a beautiful day and the views were breath-taking, exercise class with Care centre sport & exercise which certainly got our blood flowing and had us feeling energised. We also took part in a dance-a-thon when Andy came to sing for us, it wasn’t hard to get moving to the songs he was singing, there was a lot of shoulder shimming and leg shaking.
Lucy, out Activities Coordinator has been fundraising for Barchester Charitable Foundation by walking 15,000 steps a day, which is equivalent to 7 miles a day and she absolutely smashed it!! Well Done Lucy, everyone at Beaufort Grange is proud.

200 years of Cadbury
Celebrating Dementia Action Week at our care home was truly special.
Our residents and teams came together for a heartwarming reminiscing activity to celebrate 200 years of Cadbury! It was lovely to share memories and stories of some much loved favourite treats over the years.
Thanks to the generous support of Cadbury UK we received a delightful and delicious surprise – memory bar boxes filled with Dairy Milk bars wrapped in designs reflecting Cadbury's rich 200-year history.
It was great to learn the history of Cadbury UK, but of course the best bit was tasting delicious their chocolate!

Alpaca Farm visit!
Our residents have been busy getting out in the mini bus this week and making the most of the glorious weather.
We made a stop at Wolfridge Alpaca farm, where our residents were able to get up close to the fluffy creatures. Our lovely residents thoroughly enjoyed the visit, many of them commented on how beautiful they are. Of course our trips are not complete without a stop for some coffee and cake! We even got to taste an alpaca biscuit in the cafe.
We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Happy 100th Reg!
We recently celebrated a landmark occasion where one of our residents turned 100 years old. Reg was surrounded by family and friends as they all danced along to the beautiful singing of Nicola – singer and voice over artist, which was then followed by cake and drinks. Reg was absolutely delighted to receive a telegram from The King and his wife Queen Camilla.
Happy 100th Reg, from everyone at Beaufort Grange!
