Activities at Alice Grange Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Penny Allen
Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Donating Teddies
General Manager, Michelle Medway (left) donated some crocheted and knitted toys to the Ipswich Hospital that were made by family members, residents and staff at Alice Grange.
We've made so many that we wanted to share the joy. Residents chose the children's ward at the hospital as their recipients and hope the donations will make the kids very happy.

Spring Has Sprung
Staff and residents have sown the seeds for a colourful summer; residents were delighted by their large wheelchair-accessible greenhouse and spent the day pottering in the garden.
Tasty Tarts!
Residents on our Memory Lane Community chose to make and bake their own jam tarts. They came together to plan the activity and spent time reminiscing.
Employee of the Month - April
Congratulations to Lennae, who works on our Memory Lane community, for being named as April's Employee of the Month here at Alice Grange.
Memory Café Cakes
These were the cakes that were recently made for our Memory Café by Abbi, the granddaughter of an ex-resident. She has just launched her own cake making business, so volunteer, Eileen, asked her to bake some for us. They were lovely and she has stated that she would love to bring some more in for us next month.
