Activities at Alice Grange Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Penny Allen
Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

3 Cavell Star Awards for our Nurses
Sharon Luckman, Aji Abraham, Kristy Smith each were awarded The Cavell Star Award at the home.
The Cavell Star Awards were launched in April by nurses’ charity Cavell Nurses’ Trust, and they support nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants when they are suffering hardship often because of illness, disability, domestic abuse and older age.
Well done to our wonderful team!
10 Years of Service
General Manager, Michelle Medway, can be seen above presenting Head of Memory Lane, Bev West, with her 10 year Long Service Award. Well done, Bev!
Coffee and Cake
Staff and residents had a day trip out to Café 66 in Kesgrave, a locally run café supporting members of the community with learning disabilities, and providing them with a safe and friendly environment to work. Everyone had a wonderful time and the cake was second to none!

On Sunday 17th, General Manager, Michelle Medway, and Deputy Manager, Kristy Smith, set up shop at the Woodbridge Regatta. They spent the day talking to the local community about care and the home and also raised over £90, which enabled the purchase of a wonderful piece of sensory equipment to support residents at Alice Grange.
