Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

A Special Visitor...

What an AMAZING day! The residents recently adored their visit from a very special caller...

Pickles the tortoise, spent some time visiting the Trinity Manor family, who were enthralled by the little fellow.

Up on our Memory Lane community, one lady in particular, took a real shine to him, telling anyone who passed by, what a 'wonderful creature' he was!

It just goes to show you how much of a positive impact animal therapy can have on people's lives!

He won't be about for much longer now though, as Pickles will soon be off for his long winter's nap.

Our residents are getting Communifit!

What an AMAZING first session was had by some of the home's residents, when we were excited to recently be joined by Communifit founder, instructor and all round lovely man, Craig, who put everyone through their paces!

Craig's specially designed, seated fitness program has so far been very well received by the residents, who are very keen to reap the benefits of these exercises, keeping everyone fitter for longer!

Happy & Boosted!

Staff and residents here at Trinity Manor were delighted to recently receive their covid vaccination boosters, giving everyone in the home that extra layer of protection as we head into the winter months; which we hope will enable us all to truly enjoy the upcoming festive season in the safest way possible.

We would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the incredible team from The Grove Medical Centre here in Sherborne, who have done a phenomenal job ensuring that everyone here in the home, smoothly and efficiently received their vaccines - You are amazing!

Trinity Manor Café - COMING SOON!

Here in the home recently, we were joined by some key members of the local community to plan the launch of a dementia friendly community café .

Ideas were buzzing and much tea & coffee was drunk, as well as yummy cakes eaten as everyone shared suggestions and plans to make it a wonderful place to come for those who would benefit the most, capturing the loneliness within our community, as well as a great support system for anyone who needs it here in Sherborne!

A BIG thank you to all who came to help in sharing suggestions, for what hopes to be an amazing venture that the town will truly benefit from.

Watch this space for the future launch date!

Relaxation Station

What truly wonderful afternoon was had by many here at Trinity Manor recently, when the amazing Anna-Maria of Galvinology visited.

As a trained reflexologist, Anna-Maria gave our residents a very relaxing treat by delivering some very therapeutic hand massages direct from our salon.

With some gorgeous smelling mists from a special humidifier that constantly changed colour and a touch of spa music, it really was the perfect sensory session that everyone who tried, LOVED!

For some of our Memory Lane residents especially, this was the perfect tonic and a calming way to end their day.

Thank you Anna-Maria, we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Familiar Faces!

We recently welcomed back some familiar faces into our home for a spot of tea and cake!

Cyril and his lovely daughter, Inva, as well as Alan and his bee-keeping friend, Jill (pictured), all joined us for an afternoon of chat and good company here at the home, and were especially delighted to be treated to some delicious cakes all made by our wonderful chef.

It was so nice for them to come and catch up with all the Trinity Manor news. Both Cyril & Alan have both previously stayed with us for some respite care and loved it so much, that were delighted to be invited back for a visit.

Thank you all for joining us and also allowing us to share these pictures on here. We hope to welcome you again soon!
