Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hi, My name is Bibesh Shrestha, Activity Coordinator
Having more than 10 years of professional experience in multiple sectors at different places have given me the confidence to get involved in any challenging environment where my skills and experience will be instrumental in achieving personal and social goals.
Being a motivator and influencer to the people around me has always been my passion, and also part of my profession. As an Activity Coordinator, my ultimate goal is to transfer my energy and spread my happiness.
Being active and full of energy with humbleness is what defines me and transferring that energy to the people around me has been my prime interest.

Life at Trinity Manor Care Home
Furry Friends
Residents are very much keen dog lovers, so when one of the carers, Di, stopped by with her beautiful little pooches, Bella & Boo, everyone was very keen to have a bit of time giving them some cuddles!
Di has suggested that they become the home’s dogs and plans to bring them in for regular visits with our residents.
Thank you Di, your visits with Bella & Boo have certainly made the world of difference to many and brought many smiles to our home!
Night Fever
Staff and residents were treated to a talk about nightclub culture by V&A Dundee Curator, Kirsty Hassard. The presentation forms part of a series of six talks and virtual tours that V&A Dundee is hosting for Barchester Healthcare’s care homes and private hospitals across the UK.
Kirsty’s talk looked at the history and design of night clubs, and examined club culture from the 1960s to the present day. She explored their evolution and development around the world, from Italy to America, and closer to home, looking at their importance as cultural venues and designed spaces.
Residents really enjoyed taking a look around the exhibition and to have their very own guided tour was fantastic. They were particularly intrigued by the concept of a ‘silent disco’, which once it had been explained to them a little further, they could not stop giggling about!
Inaugural Networking Breakfast
For the very first time, local community workers, professionals and small business owners came together at Trinity Manor to enjoy the home’s very first Networking Breakfast event.
It was an opportunity for some of the community to come together in a covid safe way, enjoying the early morning sunshine out on the home’s patio, whilst having a spot of breakfast and a coffee before work.
Amongst those who came along were: Social Prescribers, Dementia Co-ordinators, Community Kitchen Workers, a Reflexologist, a Fire Fighter and from Trinity Manor and hosting the event, were General Manager, Sohail Daniel and Home Services Advisor Rebekah Goddard.
After introductions, everyone chatted about upcoming local events, as well as future events at Trinity Manor that require community involvement and how everyone could help out in differing ways, as well as helping each other with their own promotion locally.
Brilliant BBQ
What a gorgeous day in the Trinity Manor garden recently, as staff and residents socialised over the most delicious BBQ feast courtesy of David our chef, who did a fantastic job on the BBQ... not a burnt sausage in sight!
Sitting out in the glorious sunshine was just the tonic, as everyone smiled and chatted as they tucked into the most delicious food. It was so nice to see everyone enjoying the atmosphere, talking and laughing together and all over a scrumptious meal!
Century Celebrations
Staff and residents were delighted to be chosen as the recipients of a tree to be planted in their grounds, to mark the Soroptimist International’s centenary year.
Soroptimist International, is a global volunteer movement completely run by women, which was founded in Oakland, California back in 1921 in order to help improve the lives of girls and women from all walks of life; through educating, empowering and enabling in whatever way possible, with their work reaching far across the globe. They now have over 72,000 members worldwide.
Members of Yeovil, Sherborne & District S.I. Club, along with the Mayor of Sherborne, Anne Hall, gathered together in the Trinity Manor gardens to dedicate the specially chosen tree, which was planted in a special spot for the residents and staff to enjoy watching it grow.
A beautiful plaque was unveiled by the club president, Johanna Maidment to formally dedicate the new tree
Top Floor Grand Opening
Heading toward brighter times in the wake of the recent pandemic, residents and staff at Trinity Manor care home are well and truly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, this week celebrating with specially invited guests as their top floor was officially opened by the Mayor of Sherborne, Anne Hall.
Dignitaries and friends of Trinity Manor gathered in the garden in line with social distancing guidelines, and were served canapés & nibbles, all made by their in-house chef, as well as sparkling, wine in a small celebration of all that the home has achieved so far.
Scissors in hand, up on the top floor the Mayor of Sherborne cut the ceremonial ribbon, formerly opening the two corridors – Longburton View & Castleton View, also unveiling a beautiful new plaque to commemorate the occasion.
The top floor of the home boasts some beautiful views across the south of Sherborne, taking in the beautiful hills and trees in the distance. It’s also home to Trinity Manor’s in-house cinema which the residents really enjoy.
On Saturday 3rd July, the home is also inviting the community to book a space for their ‘Meet the Manager’ event, to chat to the General Manager about life at Trinity Manor, as well as take a tour of the building and enjoy some of the stunning views from up on the top floor of the home.
