Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Bibesh Shrestha

Activities Coordinator

Hi, My name is Bibesh Shrestha, Activity Coordinator

Having more than 10 years of professional experience in multiple sectors at different places have given me the confidence to get involved in any challenging environment where my skills and experience will be instrumental in achieving personal and social goals.

Being a motivator and influencer to the people around me has always been my passion, and also part of my profession. As an Activity Coordinator, my ultimate goal is to transfer my energy and spread my happiness.

Being active and full of energy with humbleness is what defines me and transferring that energy to the people around me has been my prime interest.

Life at Trinity Manor Care Home

Merry Christmas to our Friends at The Grove!

This year we wanted to say a big, Christmassy THANK YOU to our friends over at the The Grove Medical Centre here in Sherborne. So armed with a large box of mince pies, off we went to surprise them with a lovely treat!

The team from the Grove have been incredible, working tirelessly to ensure that all our residents, staff, and everyone here in the Sherborne area have been vaccinated in order to keep us safe this year, and for that, we are so very grateful!

Happy Christmas Grove Medical Centre for keeping us all safe and healthy. The work you do is so appreciated!!!!

HAVE A GREAT FESTIVE SEASON!

Happy 2nd Birthday Trinity Manor!

We recently celebrated our 2nd birthday in style!

Led by Sohail, speeches were given and Dr Valerie, our Resident Ambassador, thanked all the amazing staff for all their incredible efforts over the past 2 years and recalled when the home was first opened.

After toasts with bubbly and a celebration cake was enjoyed, residents and staff then made their way outside to see the switch on of our advent window, made by our lovely residents with a bit of help from Activities Coordinator, Laura...

Each night in advent, the Sherborne community are lighting a window with different themes for passers-by to enjoy. A map of the windows and information with a list of those involved is also posted below for you to follow the trail, should you wish!

Things are Getting Serious...

It all looked a bit tense recently here at Trinity Manor, as some of our lovely ladies put Activities Coordinator, Joe, through his paces...

Card games are much loved by many of our residents here in the home and in 2022 we are hoping to create the very first Trinity Manor Bridge club, which has been requested by some of our residents and their wish is our command - Watch this space!

Trinity Cafe

Recently we saw the launch of our very first Trinity Cafe, where members of our community joined us for the morning, spending time chatting, enjoying a cuppa and some delicious cake, made by our lovely Chef, Louise, as well as being entertained by the wonderful Jan Millward from Rural Rhymes and Reminiscing .

Jan brought with her a table full of memorabilia from yesteryear, many of the items were well remembered by those in attendance and stories were exchanged and memories shared. She brought many items linked with the festive season too!

What do you recognise?

Festive Dogs Competition

We recently asked our facebook followers to submit some pictures of their pooches all dressed up for the festive season and they did not disappoint.  We then printed them all off and have displayed them for all to enjoy over the Christmas period.  Our residents have really enjoyed looking at these pictures and have spent much time giggling over some!  We have uploaded a few of their favourites here for you to enjoy!

Some Special Visitors!

Residents at our home were recently treated to some very special visitors, who came to spread some festive cheer to us all here at Trinity Manor...

Members from the Wessex Beavers, Cubs and Explorers, as well as Ilchester Rainbows and Brownies, joined us to sing some beautiful carols and Christmas songs especially for our residents, who were of course delighted to welcome them all in a covid safe way!

After the singing, the each received some yummy hot chocolate to warm them all up and also some delicious homemade shortbread!

Thank you one and all for making our residents' day!
