Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Bibesh Shrestha

Activities Coordinator

Hi, My name is Bibesh Shrestha, Activity Coordinator

Having more than 10 years of professional experience in multiple sectors at different places have given me the confidence to get involved in any challenging environment where my skills and experience will be instrumental in achieving personal and social goals.

Being a motivator and influencer to the people around me has always been my passion, and also part of my profession. As an Activity Coordinator, my ultimate goal is to transfer my energy and spread my happiness.

Being active and full of energy with humbleness is what defines me and transferring that energy to the people around me has been my prime interest.

A Fitter You for 2022!

Our residents were all very keen to get fitter as we start 2022, so they joined the wonderful Craig's Communifit class here at Trinity Manor!

One of our most well attended sessions yet, and everyone raved about how much they all enjoyed it afterwards, especially Craig's company...

Thank you for your amazing efforts with our residents and see you next week Craig, for another fan club gathering!

Out with 2021, in with 2022!

We celebrated the new year with some party games, quizzes and looking at different traditions from around the world...

In Japan kites are made for celebrating the new year, whilst in Spain they eat 12 grapes to symbolise 12 lucky months ahead, and in the Jewish community it's tradition to eat apples dipped in honey!

The Trinity Manor tradition is to enjoy as much of this as possible, as well as enjoying some typical British fayre, such as cheese & pineapple on sticks!

At 2.22pm precisely, our residents celebrated early and toasted the new year with a glass of fizz, whilst singing 'Auld Lang Syne' together!

Gathering around the TV, residents then watched the celebrations on a live-stream around the world as the many fireworks displays took place in different time zones - A wonderful afternoon was had by all and a great start to 2022.

Christmas Board Games

It wouldn't be Christmas without some festive board games and in true traditional fashion, some of our residents, along with Joe our Activities Assistant, got stuck in to a good game of Scrabble...

We are delighted to report that thankfully it was very much enjoyed by all, unlike Monopoly in the Queen's household, which we had heard had been banned due to some right royal tantrums in the past by certain members of her family! Who would have thought it?!

Christmas Day Elves at Work!

On Christmas day, whilst Santa had put his feet up by the fire to take a well-earned nap, it was business as usual for some of his busy elves...

Two elves in particular, Laura & Phill, were running around the home with trollies full of goodies to deliver to all our residents, spreading Christmas cheer and fun in their wake!

The day was filled with plenty of food, fizz and merriment and much ripping and unwrapping of presents.  Eventually they all settled down to enjoy a glass of sherry and the Queen's speech, followed by some inevitable Christmas naps! zzZZzzZZzz

Christmas Creativity

Some of our residents rolled up their sleeves over Christmas getting creative, as they made some very sweet tables decorations for the festive season with a little help and encouragement from our amazing activities team.

Take a look at some of these amazing festive creations. What a lovely job and what some fabulous poses the little Santas made!

Christmas' Past...

Fun and games were had by all recently, as we received another visit from the lovely Jan of Rural Rhymes and Reminiscing ...

Residents laughed a lot as she managed to dress both Activities Coordinator, Joe and Deputy Manager, Paul, into some stunning feminine ensembles!

There was even a bit of Christmas singing with an interactive rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas, which everyone loved!

THANK YOU Jan for another wonderful reminiscence session!
