Activities at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Paula Lourenco
Hello, my name is Paula and I’m the Activities coordinator at Tewkesbury Fields care home. I’ve joined Barchester healthcare in 2020.
As part of the lifestyle enrichment team, I will be organising daily activities, ensuring that residents have varied activities to choose from each day. I love enriching our residents’ lives, creating memories and be able to provide meaningful activities to each one of the residents living at Tewkesbury fields.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home

Community Cafe
At Tewkesbury Fields we value the support from our local community. And as a thank you we host a monthly Community Café. We enjoyed welcoming local residents and offering complimentary refreshments, whilst we sat and talked in our Cotswold Dining Room.
Choice of soups was homemade Mushroom or Roasted Vegetable and Tomato served with warm cheese straws, followed by Chocolate cheesecake or Fruit trifle - enjoyed by all!
Next date is Thursday 6th March - Wonder what flavour soups and desserts our Chef will be offering?

Afternoon at the Garden Centre
We do enjoy visiting our local Garden Centre and seeing all the wonderful plants and having time to browse around their gift shop.
We always take time to stop for a relaxing chat and coffee.

"Singing In The Rain" At the Cinema
We still love watching a good movie - and last week we had a trip out to the local theatre. The Roses Theatre, is very much the heart of the community in Tewkesbury and we were delighted to go and watch the classic film "Singing in the Rain". We all sang and toe tapped along to this friendly morning screening at a wonderful venue.
