Ashchurch View Care Home in Tewkesbury
Ashchurch View provides high quality 24-hour residential and nursing care for older people, including individuals living with dementia in our bespoke Memory Lane Community. Alongside long-term care, we also offer respite care and short breaks, which can now be pre-booked up to a year in advance. Our team of highly skilled and empathetic staff care enormously about residents and are integral to the friendly and warm atmosphere here at Ashchurch View.
Dementia Care
Ashchurch View has a dedicated Memory Lane Community that provides a safe, homely environment for people living with dementia, which has been designed following these guidelines ensuring the care we provide supports residents’ freedom of choice. We aim to maintain their life-skills, improving their self-esteem and helping them to maintain and develop their independence while they are living with us.
Staff undertake specialist dementia care training developed by our team of Dementia Care Specialists and academic partners, the Centre for Dementia Research at Leeds Beckett University. Together they ensure our training programmes are informed by the very latest thinking. We ensure that the people we support feel comfortable and safe in their surrounding environment, helping ensure they live life with dementia to the full.
Choosing a care home for a loved one or friend who may be experiencing dementia can be difficult and we have created a guide to showcase how we ‘Enrich the lives of people living with dementia’ in our care home.
All residents can enjoy the fantastic facilities and services we have on offer. The home features a wonderful sensory courtyard garden and a beach-themed outer garden, where residents can be involved in the planting and watering of flowers. The reception café is a lovely way to socialise or relax, and our Wi-Fi access allows residents to connect and talk to their families. Finally, our beauty room offers hair and nail care several days a week in a relaxing space that overlooks the courtyard garden.
Our home is situated in Ashchurch, and has good rail and road links, being only one mile from the M5. The medieval market town of Tewkesbury is also nearby, where we have very strong connections to SARA river rescue, the Roses Theatre, local brownies and schools, and other community groups who support and come to visit us.
We are always happy to discuss how we may best meet your needs, so please feel free to drop in or give us a call.
