Activities at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Paula Lourenco

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Paula and I’m the Activities coordinator at Tewkesbury Fields care home. I’ve joined Barchester healthcare in 2020.

As part of the lifestyle enrichment team, I will be organising daily activities, ensuring that residents have varied activities to choose from each day. I love enriching our residents’ lives, creating memories and be able to provide meaningful activities to each one of the residents living at Tewkesbury fields.

International Nurses day

We've been celebrating International Nurses day!

Our General Manager, James Culley, visited the Community District nurses team and Tewkesbury Hospital nurses to give some delicious vanilla and chocolate cupcakes (home-made by our talented chef), to thank all the amazing nurses for their dedication, compassion, hard work and tireless efforts! The commitment, resilience and kindness deserve our appreciation.

Happy International Nurses day!

Afternoon out at Dobbie's Garden Centre

Vivienne and Richard have recently enjoyed an afternoon visiting the local Dobbies Garden Centre! They had a good look around and enjoyed purchasing some lovely gifts and gardening items.

As ever, our brilliant team wants to ensure everyone gets out and about at Tewkesbury Fields, and no trip is too big, or too small!

Golden Rose for the Coronation of King Charles III

For the Coronation of King Charles III, we are having a variety of Coronation activities, events and celebrations throughout the week.
Residents, staff and family members have come together to plant a golden rose to mark the Coronation of King Charles III.
The yellow rose is located in one of the courtyards' raised plant beds at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home;  not only for everyone to enjoy, it's a rose to mark a very special occasion and will contribute to the beautiful gardens in our home!
Thanks Tewkesbury Garden Centre for having such beautiful and great quality plants for special occasions!

A fond farewell to Daisy

Daisy has successfully finished her student placement! We've said a fond farewell to Daisy, as her weekly student placement from University Of Worcester came to an end.

James Culley, General Manager, and Katie Brown, Deputy Manager, commented "We are really proud to be supporting the future nursing workforce. It's very rewarding to see them develop and grow in confidence and skills. It definitely enhances the care we provide!"

The students continue to be an inspiration and all the team and residents at Tewkesbury Fields, wish Daisy every success in the future!

The future is bright! Best of luck at University!
