Activities at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Embracing Peace through Art

During this week, we've welcomed Megan from Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury to learn about the Peace Doves project that will take place at Tewkesbury Abbey very soon. Residents and staff wrote on paper doves, each capturing personal messages/reflections on what peace means to them. These beautiful doves will soon join thousands of others in the stunning Peace Doves exhibition at Tewkesbury Abbey - an event showcasing the power of art and community.

Flower Club

This week in our flower club residents chose to do their own arrangements. Some chose to use oasis and create a formal arrangement others wanted to be creative with the unusual shaped vases that we have throughout the home.

Dolls House Presentation

We welcomed a visit from local resident Elizabeth who came to showcase some of her array of fantastic Dolls House collection. She gave us an insight as to how she has built up her collection over the years and talked us through how she has handmade every item. We were absolutely fascinated by the attention to detail and the simple materials Elizabeth used to create such realistic houses and displays.
