Activities at Tennyson Wharf Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Barchester's 25th Anniversary

Barchester's 25th Anniversary

We celebrated 25 years of Barchester with a fun-packed day, which was incredibly well-attended by residents, families, friends and members of the public!

Boat trips in the morning, from the marina to the rear of our beautiful home, were very much enjoyed. Village Voices Choir gave their time to entertain us, and attendees had lots of fun taking part in our circus workshop.

We celebrated with cheese & wine and a beautiful 25th cake, prepared by our Chef, and cut by a resident who has been with us since we first opened.

Thanks to all who donated some wonderful raffle prizes  we raised £90 for our residents’ fund.
