Hi, my name is Katya, and I am the General Manager here at Tennyson Wharf. Welcome to our website!
I have the honour to lead the team and serve the residents here at Tennyson. I understand that taking the step of choosing a care home can be a difficult and emotional decision, so myself and my team are here to support you.
I have been working for Barchester since 2002 and have been in the nursing profession since 1986. I started my journey and career at Barchester as a Senior Care Assistant and worked my way through various roles throughout the years. I realised that there’s nothing more important to me than making people happy; sometimes it can be the simple things that help, like making them feel heard and valued.
I strive to make every day special and different to yesterday for all residents, and I feel proud to be part of their lives and share their memories.
I was named as 'Nurse of the Year' at the 2013 Barchester Care Awards, which is one of my greatest achievements and a very proud moment.
Ensuring peace of mind for all relatives is one of my greatest objectives; it is imperative that they know their loved ones are in safe hands and are in a caring and joyful environment.
The residents are at the heart of everything we do here at Tennyson, and we think we are perfectly suited to meet your needs now and in the future.
I have taken on the Deputy Manager role here at Tennyson Wharf, and I am an RGN with 30 years' nursing experience, with 20 years of care home management experiece.
I have been working for Barchester as a peripatetic nurse since June 2018, offering nursing shift cover and support to homes in the south of Lincolnshire.
