It’s always such a joy to come and sing at Tennyson Wharf. As you walk in it immediately feels like a 5⭐️ hotel! The residents and staff quite are always up for a a good singalong and plenty of dancing! One of my favourite places to perform!

I have been on placement at Tennyson Wharf for my college course. I really enjoyed my time here and will be returning even though all my hours are completed as the staff were lovely and accommodating. They helped me learn new information about care that I didn't know before. It was a warm welcoming environment

"Everything was excellent with one exception.... The telephone signal was dreaful my wife could not decifer what I was saying as it was as if I was under water. I did not contact my wife for two days. This made me very sad. My wife contacted the staff and twice they brought me one of their phones to use. I did not like to ask for them to keep bring there phones to me. I would be happy to return again for respight if this was sorted."

"You might think that my rating of 'excellent' in all categories is 'over inflated' but the fact is, this home is excellent. It looks nice and it is nice. Set in beautiful grounds, its idyllic. Every member of staff I encountered was so friendly and caring. Its clean, tidy, well maintained and very "fresh" and "airy". The food is also to a very good standard/excellent standard. I came here due to a temporary incapacity and if I am infirmed again, this is where I shall come to. Thankyou. PS The bedrooms are great. So large and comfortable."

I have been attending Tennyson Wharf Care Home with my preschool music class for over 4 years. The first thing I notice is how friendly every member of staff is whether they are on the front desk, catering, cleaning, gardening or activity staff everyone smiles, says hello and engages in conversation.
During our time at Tennyson Wharf, residents and staff have taken the time to get to know our families and some genuine friendships have developed. The room we use is bright, clean and always ready for our arrival.
Our families are encouraged to join in with the wider home community taking part in colouring competitions, dressing up days and, my favourite, our teddy bear's picnic.
Tennyson Wharf is a very special place to spend time.

I wprk for a company called G-fitness specialising in exercise therapy for the residents. I attend tennyson Wharf every other week. The staff are brilliant so friendly and organised and the residents here all seem very happy.

"I was only at Tennyson Wharf for three nights an eighty nine year old visiting my cousin. My experience from start to finish was delightful. Special care must be taken recruiting staff as their approach to their job was above and beyond expectations. We were cared for without being made to feel needy (respect) and the joy and laughter was so uplifting I was sad to leave. Unfortunatly Tennyson Wharf is in Lincoln and I'm in Cambridge or I would be considering long term stay."

"I am the resident representative here at Tennyson Wharf I appreciate the opportunity to represent this care home which is rated as phenomenal by inspectors. All departments here are excellent and the care and kindness is second to none with residents treated with dignity. Health and safety and security are paramount with housekeeping and cleanliness is obvious to visitors & guests. Activities are well presented and this is difficult because of such a diverse society. Visits are available as well as visiting singers and armchair exercises. This care home has a dementia community and all carers have constant training to help with all capabilities. Meals are well presented with options available and care with allergies and diabetic needs. The management and admin ensure that residents and carers receive personally centered attention."

Outstanding Experience at Barchester Home

As workers who travel across the UK and visit many care homes, we can confidently say this is by far the best Barchester home we’ve come across. The staff here are truly exceptional – warm, professional, and genuinely dedicated to the residents’ well-being. The atmosphere is welcoming, the care standards are consistently high, and it’s clear the team takes real pride in their work. A big thank you to everyone for making this such a positive experience!

I was lucky enough to be invited to the tenth anniversary of Tennyson Wharf in Burton Waters and I was blown away by the exceptionally high standards on display. The staff were very welcoming, and residents were happy and engaged in the activities of the day. The home was spotlessly clean, with spacious and pleasingly decorated rooms. I particularly noted the warm and caring relationship between staff and residents and the atmosphere was one of a family home. This was lovely to see and must be very reassuring for the families of residents.

We discovered Tennyson Wharf through a friend and visited on 15th March, where we were warmly welcomed by a knowledgeable staff member. "Everyone of the staff are kind and and caring plenty of activities. The building is very clean and looked after, as are the grounds. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I always feel nothing is too much trouble when I ring or call in."

Excellent care home. All the staff are friendly and approachable. Excellent choice of food and activities available. Rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. Home is exceptionally clean and in a great setting. This is a first class care home
