Tennyson Wharf Care Home
Tennyson Wharf Care Home in Lincoln
Located opposite the beautiful Burton Waters Marina, Tennyson Wharf offers stunning views of the boats and yachts on show, as well as the Lincolnshire countryside, with extensive and tranquil gardens that are always open to residents and visitors, all year round. The home has been specifically designed to provide high-quality residential care for the elderly, including individuals living with dementia. Alongside this, you can book respite care up to a year in advance. A team of qualified and dedicated staff focus on the individual needs of each person, and are committed to providing professional and respectful care, with residents at the heart of everything.
The home has a dedicated Memory Lane Community, built specifically for people living with various stages of dementia. Within the community, memory boxes with small reminders and items, such as photographs, are used to help each person reminisce. Design features, including adapted crockery and tableware, sensory gardens with low-risk walkways and activity kitchens, also enable people to engage in life’s everyday simple tasks and pleasures.
Our high standards are reflected throughout the home with our luxurious facilities, delicious meals, daily activities and a selection of therapeutic approaches to care. Together with our lively social calendar, our fantastic services help stimulate residents’ minds and empower them to approach their future in a positive way.

Our Team

Zoe King
Hi, my name is Zoe, and I am the General Manager here at Tennyson Wharf. Welcome to our website!
From the age of 16-years, I have worked within a care setting. Starting as a carer in residential and nursing homes before commencing my nurse training in 1993. During my training I worked as a hospital auxiliary nurse before qualifying as an RGN in 1996.
I have been a home manager since 2009, and have commissioned new homes and worked in homes as a turn-around manager. Most recently, my previous home was awarded for being one of the top 20 homes in the west Midlands; as voted by carehomes.co.uk
Tennyson Wharf is a beautiful home with a great atmosphere, and I am looking forward to delivering the best care with my team to those we support in a friendly, warm and happy environment.
We aspire to be the most respected home in the area. My passion is to ensure that our residents are provided with the very best of care, dignity, respect and support to enable them to live a healthy and happy life.
We’re welcoming new residents, please feel free to contact us; I’m always available to discuss how we can support you and your loved ones.
