Lancaster Grange Care Home in Newark-on-Trent

Lancaster Grange is a purpose-built care home situated on the Fernwood Park Estate in Newark. The home is designed to provide the highest quality residential and nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia.

All our care plans are based upon the needs of residents, and we treat each person as an individual. Learning about residents' life stories is a key part of our person-centred care approach. This valuable work helps us to connect with those we support on a personal level and enhances the overall care that we can offer them.

Our varied activities and events programme takes into consideration the interests of residents and is designed to create a fulfilling and stimulating environment whilst enhancing feelings of self-worth. Essential to our homely feel is the strong relationship of trust we build with residents and their loved ones.

Our Memory Lane Community is dedicated to providing stimulation in addition to security and first-class care. We are proud to be one of the first homes to be accredited as part of Barchester’s 10-60-06 Dementia Care Programme, reflecting the enhanced dementia care and improved quality of life experienced by residents here at Lancaster Grange.

You are very welcome to visit any time and experience our hospitality and facilities for yourself. This will give you the chance to meet some of our dedicated staff and discuss any care needs you may have. We hope to see you soon!

Types of care

The care we provide is delivered in a way that promotes independence for those who live in our home. Where possible, it is important that residents are encouraged to perform daily tasks independently or with minor support. Our services are devised with individualised treatment in mind for each person, so getting to know everyone and understanding their needs is imperative to delivering bespoke, person-centred care.

Our Team

The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home.

Colleen Bennett

General Manager

Hi, my name is Colleen, and I am the general manager here at Lancaster Grange. Welcome to our website!

I have been a registered manager in several homes across the UK and have managed services in the NHS, prior to moving to the independent sector in 2003. I continue to maintain my NMC registration of over 30 years and remain up-to-date in clinical practice.

My passion is for getting the detail right so that every good experience can be great, and I have chosen to move to Barchester because of the energy and enthusiasm that I have seen across the team.

Here at Lancaster Grange, my team and I are dedicated to providing the best person-centered experience possible, by engaging with each individual to respect their views and wishes.
