Activities at Tennyson Wharf Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

It is a truly amazing experience even the shyest of children have fun with our enthralled and happy residents. Having permission from parents to have a little cuddle, residents readily accept and recall happy times!

Established in 1992 by Elaine Bielby, ‘Music with Mummy’ is an inspirational, fun, friendly and welcoming musical education programme for babies through to preschool children. Sessions are attended by mums, dads, grandparents and teddy bears, as well as residents.
