Activities at Shelburne Lodge Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Patriotic Cream Tea Party

Patriotic Cream Tea Party

On the 23rd April, we held our Patriotic Cream Tea Party. This was to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday and St George’s Day. There was an array of lovely cakes and scones that were served with cream and jam. Bus Pass To Broadway also came to entertain us.

As the photos show, everyone had a wonderful time - friends and family included!

A Bit of Gloomy Gardening

A Bit of Gloomy Gardening

The residents decided that, no matter what the weather was like, they were going to do some gardening! So, we put sheets down on the floor and gardened inside because of how grey and gloomy it was outside. They potted various plants whilst chatting over cups of tea, coffee and squash, sharing their gardening memories and stories. The plants have since been transferred into the garden.
