Activities at Shelburne Lodge Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Kiddley Divey Visits

Kiddley Divey Visits

Residents had a lot of fun when Kiddley Divey visited the home; they did some gentle exercise, had a sing along and there was lots of laughter.

Halloween Fun

Halloween Fun

Some residents enjoyed a little Halloween fun here at Shelburne Lodge; spooky storytelling and dressing up was the order of the day.

Summer Fair & BBQ

Summer Fair & BBQ

We recently had our annual Summer Fair & BBQ; residents, visitors and staff indulged in the chocolate fountains, fruit cocktails, homemade cakes, burgers and various stalls. In the afternoon, residents and visitors were entertained by Elvis tribute, Gary Roman, who they enjoyed greatly! A good day was had by all.

Zoolab Visits Shelburne

Zoolab Visits Shelburne

Shelburne recently enjoyed a visit from Zoolab, who brought along a rat, giant snails, cockroaches, stick insects, a corn snake and a bearded dragon called Puff. Zoolab took their lovely critters around the home, so all residents had the opportunity to interact with different animals. Puff, the bearded dragon, loved having her chin rubbed and was a great success with all the residents.

DIY Project

DIY Project

Residents have undertaken a new project: covering an old table in tiles which they are decorating themselves. The tiles will be attached to the table and varnished to make it waterproof and the table will then be used for outside activities. The residents have been able to enjoy the lovely sunshine and fresh air whilst painting and socialising together.
