Hello, my name is Sharon and I am the General Manager here at Shelburne Lodge.
I qualified as a nurse in 1995 and have worked across various and diverse areas of nursing, ranging from mental health through to nursing care.
I joined Shelburne in 2014 and thoroughly enjoy my work; it’s both challenging and rewarding and no two days are the same.
I work with a caring and conscientious team of people who promote a welcoming environment for residents and their loved ones. We always aim to provide the highest standard of care in a homely environment.
Hi, my name is Marina and I am the Deputy Manager here at Shelburne.
I qualified as a General Nurse in 1994 and have worked in various positions within the NHS, giving me a wide range of knowledge and experience. My work at Shelburne Lodge is very challenging, but very rewarding – no two days are the same.
Prior to joining Shelburne Lodge in 2017 and having raised a family, my career started in the customer service/financial sector, working for various organisations. Having always been a people person, it has been so rewarding getting to know all our lovely residents and families. I love being part of a team that is passionate about providing high quality care and exceptional service.

Alex is a very talented chef who has worked in some high end restaurants throughout his career. He produces a nutritional and varied menu that residents and visitors enjoy. Alex also makes wonderful birthday cakes for residents on their special day.
I have been working for Barchester since 2015. I was the Maintenance Assistant at West Oak Care Home for around 18 months until I was promoted to Maintenance Manager at Shelburne Lodge. My work is very varied and certainly never boring, and I am continuing to learn new skills all the time.
I have been working at Shelburne Lodge for many years. I started as a Care Assistant and achieved several care service awards whilst in this role before joining the house keeping team. I am proud of the standard myself and my team have achieved in the home. As a team, we constantly ensure that all standards are practiced and the home is clean, safe and welcoming for all residents, staff and visitors. I have an NVQ and a Special Commendation Award in hospitality.
Here is our housekeeping team. including Head Housekeeper, Rachel Weatherill and Housekeeping Assistants, Miroslaw Kepski and Anna Lisowska.
