Activities at Shelburne Lodge Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Comic Relief

Staff and residents at Shelburne Lodge have took part in a sponsored car wash to raise money for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day.

Although the weather was slightly blustery, this did not deter anyone, and we all had plenty of fun. Many ‘customers’ were impressed with the end results!

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day

Families and loved ones joined us at Shelburne Lodge to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a delicious 3-course meal that was prepared by Head Chef, Alex. The celebrations continued into the afternoon, with entertainment from Smokey Joe. All the residents had a wonderful time and enjoyed spending this special day with loved ones.

Guide Dog Visit

Guide Dog Visit

We were thrilled to welcome Jeanne and her guide dog, Beck, to Shelburne Lodge. Beck was extremely friendly and loved interacting with all the residents, and the residents enjoyed learning about the fascinating work that the Guide Dog Society does for its members.

Flower Arranging Fun

We were thrilled that Zara was able to join residents for a flower arranging class. A selection of flowers (chosen by residents) were purchased and they had fun creating their own master pieces. The finished arrangements were displayed around the home.
