Activities at Queens Court Care Home

Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

Staff Receive Vaccination

We have had our first COVID-19 vaccination at Wilson Hospital.

Mayor of Merton

The Mayor of Merton, Sally Kenny, brought plenty of Christmas cheer to Queens Court when she switched on the lights.

Shaaron Caratella (GM) thanked Madam Mayor and said that it was very kind of her to come and visit the care home. We are proud of what we have achieved so far, which includes regular testing and facilitating visits in the visitors' suite.

We look forward to seeing more of Madame Mayor in the New Year.

World Children Day

Residents at Queens Court commemorated World Children Day by colouring some lovely pictures and thinking about togetherness around the world, hoping for a better future for every child. They also enjoyed some delicious muffins, homemade by our Head Chef.

Festival of Lights

Queens Court was lit up for Diwali. The well-travelled residents enjoyed a nostalgic return to India by celebrating the Festival of Lights. Several staff brought their ingenuity into work to recreate a home from home experience. It was glittering, glamorous and gorgeous.
