"My mother has been at Queens Court for just one week after spending four difficult months in hospital, and the difference we've seen already is incredible. From the moment we arrived, the staff have been nothing short of amazing - incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. They've not only made my mum feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, but they've also been a huge support to me and my family during what has been an emotional and stressful time. Their kindness, patience, and reassuring presence have meant the world to us. It's clear that every member of the team genuinely cares, and that makes all the difference. We're so grateful to have found such a wonderful place for my mum. Thank you to everyone at Queens Court - your dedication and compassion truly stand out."

"I booked a 2 week stay following an accident. My experience here was excellent. In particular I found the staff caring, helpful and professional. I can't believe how positive they are doing the very difficult job they have. For me the food was sometimes a little too salty as I use little salt at home. The lounges in the care home are very comfortable and stylish. I would have liked an ensuite shower but I understand not a lot of the residents here are unable to use them so it would not be feasible to provide them. Overall an excellent experience."

"I found the staff very keen to do anything for me, I enjoyed the banter with them, as I volunteered here 20 years ago. I certainly remembered some of them which says its mon tale, they are happy in their work."

"You kindly organised a birthday party for 16 adults and 6 children only two days after mum (now 92) moved in. Everyone kept checking on us. The food was amazing. Fresh quiches, beautiful sandwiches, chips (the children loved the chips) fresh, and finally, finally but not least the most beautiful and delicious cake. You even had balloons. Thank you everyone! You truly made it special for all of us."

"My father has had respite care at Queens Court twice and both times the standard of care has been outstanding. The facilities are fantastic. The bedrooms are safe, comfortable, homely and always clean. The food, restaurant, lounges and even the corridors have been thoughtfully and beautifully designed - to encourage engagement, safety and mobility. There are daily activities, which my father participated in - much to my surprise! But the most wonderful thing about Queens Court are the staff. They are so caring, and kind, and patient, and smiley! It made my father (and me) feel warm, welcome and in very safe hands. I was very anxious about how my father would respond to respite care, but he settled in very quickly and enjoyed this time at Queens Court. It has a been positive for all the family, and has substantially reduced everyone's stress. Thank you."

"I phoned Queens Court on short notice. I needed to get my sister in a quality care facility since her health was declining and I live in a different country. The manager took me on a tour. I was impressed with the cleanliness and cheeriness of the facility. They have a lovely dining area and a full menu to chose from. I liked that they have an activity coordinator and activity plans are created for even those that are bedridden. The next day the manager evaluated my sister at the hospital. Two days later my sister spent her first night at Queens Court. I was concerned what my sister would say after her first night. Well she told me "I love this place". I was so happy. Now she refers to the facility as the hotel she is staying in. Thank you the manager and the entire staff for making this a positive experience."

"I visited this lovely care home a few days ago to see a friend of my mother! I was so impressed with the level of care she is given and how happy she seemed. The staff all seemed so friendly and they seemed to be interacting with everyone so patiently. "This purpose-built home always seems clean and fresh smelling, and the best use is made of the little garden. I am reassured that the manager is long-standing and passionate about the home she runs. The staff are professional, cheerful and friendly. They support residents in a range of activities, including outings. Soo pleased that Mum has regained her appetite due to the excellent food served in the restaurant."

"Mum has been in Queens Court Barchester since November 2022. She now refers to this as her home it’s all due to the excellent care and wonderful comfortable environment. Its good to see Mum enjoying the numerous activities and she loves being pampered getting her nails manicured and taking out for coffee. It makes it easier for for us to to visit and enjoy quality time with her. I can’t thank and praise the wonderful team enough for the consistent and loving care they provide."

"I have been visiting a close friend for nearly three years now. Sadly, she has recently passed away and if it had to be, I couldn't have wished for a better place in which she should spend her final days. Throughout her time there, she was treated with respect, care and love and helped to cope with her gradual decline into the nightmare of dementia. Friends and family were treated, always, with warmth and security and made to feel a part of the wonderful world of Queen's Court."

"I am extremely happy to have my mother residing at Barchester Queens Court. The decision was made after witnessing their loving and compassionate care during her respite stay. I am always greeted by the warm and friendly staff and this continues throughout the attention to Mum’s care, comfort, and wellbeing. It’s always reassuring and wonderful to see Mum participating in the numerous activities and socialising happily. The environment is extremely clean, comfortable, and well maintained. It is always a pleasure to visit Mum and leave knowing she’s at ‘home’. I am extremely happy and confident that Mum receives exceptional care at all times from the wonderful and caring team at Queens Court."

"My mother who is 99, has led a fully independent life, cooking each day and brilliantly caring for herself. Sadly, having a fall has completely changed her whole situation. Queens Court staff have shown great patience in settling Mum in. All staff, whatever their employment is an absolute credit to the home. They are all wonderful and a delight to know."

"I came to Queens Court Care Home post-operatively, in great pain and with limited mobility. The staff were patient, caring and attentive as I could not get in or out of bed unaided, which meant they had to attend several times through the night. Most of all I noticed how they dealt with the old and most infirm with cheerfulness and what seemed to me, genuine love and compassion. I concluded that many care workers must have a genuine calling to this type of work. A good range of activities was provided and staff made great efforts to encourage all to attend. Food was excellent and beautifully served both in the dining room and individual rooms. I would have no hesitation in recommending Queens Court Care Home as a place for much-loved elderly relatives."

"I have been trying to think of some aspect of this care home to rate at (4) to make this review more plausible - but we have been so pleased with the care here that I have to rate it all generally at (5) stars! Moving someone 96-years-old into a new home is likely to be difficult, but moving my mother has been an uplifting experience so far, with a very noticeable improvement in her appearance, lucidity and general well-being. The welcome from everyone in the home has been most encouraging - and the overall decidedly positive."

"My mum came to stay with you for two weeks of respite care following a stay in hospital. She was quite weak and needed looking after by professionals for a short while. Sadly you had problems with your lift and so all the daytime activities did not always happen. She did enjoy a day trip out and the food was of an excellent standard. When she came home she was in much better health. Many thanks."

"My mother recently celebrated her 90th birthday, and I cannot thank the manager and the wonderful team at Queens Court enough for doing everything possible to help my mother recognise this big milestone and make the day really special for her. Chef cooked a delicious victorian sponge cake, which my mother enjoyed sharing with her fellow resident and the staff. I can safely say that my mother celebrated the occasion in style, and I know the events of the day will live long in her memory."

"The staff teamwork and support with my husband's hospital visits and communication about health needs has been wonderful, as has the way communication about his needs is appropriately shared. My husband's complex needs are challenging, but the great reassurance is that any particular difficulty can be raised and discussed with confidence. It is a joy to see the way in which senior staff happily support any staff under stress, and join in basic activities, encouraging the real team spirit. The hospitality team are always responsive and smiling and bring my husband a real sense of being cared about. Maintenance staff do an excellent job and share in support. The welcome for visitors remains exceptional. The bigger room for my husband has made a difference to all, residents, family and staff alike. I was so grateful that while I was away for a few days staff faithfully delivered the cards left for him to have one each day."

"The standard of care is thorough, competent and caring. The staff get to know the residents and their specific needs. Communication is generally good but there are times when actions are not carried out or are misunderstood. I have not always been informed of medical problems or external visits by medical practitioners. Since Covid began we have regularly been kept waiting outside the care home even though we had a timed appointment. We appreciate that we are offered tea and coffee but sometimes the request gets lost."

"It is a huge decision to move your parent/loved one into a care home and we were faced with the dilemma in February. When we visited Queens Court we immediately liked it. Dad has been a resident at the home for 3 weeks now. I have been very impressed by all the staff. They are always warm, friendly and helpful. Dad is enjoying the food, is well cared for and even going out on a few trips. I can return to New Zealand knowing my dad is in safe hands. Thank you."

"The quality of service offered is excellent in all ways, especially the care offered by very dedicated staff. When our resident entered the care home she was quite frail, her dementia was getting worse and was not eating very well. Within a month there was a notable change in her physical condition and most importantly her attitude. She has become more active and happy with her current state of life. Thank you."

"The staff are informative and helpful and there is a very professional connection between the carers, my husband receiving the care, family and friends. Every effort is made to make the experience positive and pleasant. The residents' food is first class indicated via a written menu with choices and the cup of tea and cake offered to visitors are much appreciated. When my daughter came from New Zealand we were given a 3-course meal for the three of us and were treated like royalty with full waitress service! It was a memorable experience! The trips and indoor activities are invaluable to maintaining normality and interest. Any concerns are noted and acted upon and any outside communication via the telephone is very straightforward."

"My dear sister helped us choose Queens Court some 5 years ago, whilst still able. After careful research and visits. While my sister's condition has declined over time we remain deeply grateful to the entire administration and staff at Queens Court. All residents are patiently cared for with great dignity. It is comforting for us living abroad to know that she is in such good care."

"My father has had exceptionally high care for four and a half years at Barchester Queens Court Care Home before, during and now coming through the Covid pandemic. The manager and staff are excellent and did an amazing job to protect the residents early in the pandemic, creating the visiting suite and new ways of communicating that worked for him then. As he has gradually deteriorated the problems that plague the home with the lift never being replaced but continually breaking down & repaired (with parts taking longer thanks to Brexit regulations) factored into occasional failed visits. Now we can visit him in the bedroom it's almost back to the old 'normal' with splendid kindness, tea/ coffee & home made cakes & biscuits. With the relaxing of restrictions it was inevitable that asymptomatic covid has been found and this is no reflection on the standards staff keep."

"My father really enjoyed his two-week respite break. He was very happy with the standard of care he received and the kindness shown to him by all the staff. The activities were a highlight for him - he particularly enjoyed the art therapy sessions and the trips in the minibus to local parks. Thank you to everyone at Queens Court."
