Emilia activities lead

Meet our Activities Coordinator, Emilia Bogdanowicz

Hi, I'm Emilia, the Activities Lead at the home. At Queens Court we have the whole home approach towards activities. We get to know our residents, understand who they are and what the like to do. All staff participate in the social life and this promotes a good quality and variety of activities which promote independence and a purposeful lifestyle.

Activities at Queens Court

Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

Life at Queens Court Care Home

Staff Receive Vaccination

We have had our first COVID-19 vaccination at Wilson Hospital.

Mayor of Merton

The Mayor of Merton, Sally Kenny, brought plenty of Christmas cheer to Queens Court when she switched on the lights.

Shaaron Caratella (GM) thanked Madam Mayor and said that it was very kind of her to come and visit the care home. We are proud of what we have achieved so far, which includes regular testing and facilitating visits in the visitors' suite.

We look forward to seeing more of Madame Mayor in the New Year.
