Activities at Queens Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Queens Court Care Home

A relaxing afternoon at Queens Court
Our residents can enjoy a wonderful relaxing hand rub which they love and makes them feel relaxed and relieved. Our already friendly Camilla, who is an Embodied Movement & Yoga Teacher, visited us during Dementia Action Week to bring joy and relaxation to our residents.
We are already waiting for the next session with Camilla.

Celebrating success
Celebrating the successes of our staff! Yesterday afternoon at Queens Court was amazing. We celebrated the wonderful successes of our extraordinary employees! A beautiful speech by the general manager, Shaaron Caratella, who presented special awards to Siva, who has been at Queens Court for 25 years, and Catherine for 30! Everyone was appreciated. Every person working at Queens Court does something extraordinary. That's why we are so special!
Wonderful guests who visited us. Thank you very much, especially Dr. Terry Tucker for a wonderful speech ! Music, competitions, surprises and great food. It was a great afternoon. Thanks to all the Queens Court staff for their hard work and to General Manager Shaaron Caratella, who always looks after the staff at Queens Court!

Leisure times memories
Our resident, Norma, spent the afternoon at Morden Library, Merton Civic Centre, participating in a reminiscence session and sharing her memories of leisure time from sport and the theatre, to music, hobbies and the cinema.
Norma had a wonderful afternoon of great memories and wonderful stories.
It was great to see newspapers and many other interesting things from the old past.

VE Day 80th anniversary
This year was 80 years since the end of the Second World War in Europe and staff, residents and their loved ones have been remembering the bravery and sacrifices of those who served in the war. It's been a very emotional and heartfelt day.
The Union Jack flags and bunting are up all around the home and the TVs have been on for residents to enjoy the celebrations around the world.
It was also great and very joyful through events with live music, great fun, delicious food and wonderful guests! We will remember this special day for a long time.

Easter time at Queen's Court!
The wonderful Easter in our home is rich every year with exceptional activities and concerts.
Great live concerts, exceptional dishes and snacks, outings to the local community, a wonderful time spent together with the residents, their families and our team.
Competitions are always fun and full of humour. All this makes Easter time special.

Daily newspaper review!
Our residents meet daily at 12.30pm to review the newspapers with a glass of wine or Sherry. Each resident has their own favourite daily newspaper. We also offer everyone the Daily Sparkle Newspaper, which is printed daily with interesting facts from the past.
It's always a wonderful time spent together, full of smiles and interesting facts.
