Activities at Queens Court Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

Activities Lead

I am Sajeesh Cherian, and I am the Activities Coordinator for Life Enrichment at our care home. I am passionate about creating meaningful, enjoyable, and engaging experiences that enhance the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents. I believe that every day offers an opportunity to bring joy, purpose, and connection. Through a variety of activities, events, social gatherings, and person-centred programmes, I strive to support residents in maintaining their independence, interests, and sense of community.

Getting to know each resident as an individual is at the heart of what I do. By understanding their life stories, hobbies, preferences, and achievements, I can help create activities that are both enjoyable and meaningful. Whether it's arts and crafts, music sessions, gardening, reminiscence activities, outings, celebrations, or simply sharing a conversation and a smile, my goal is to ensure that every resident feels valued, included, and supported. I am proud to be part of a team dedicated to providing a warm, caring, and enriching environment where residents can continue to thrive and make wonderful memories. I look forward to getting to know residents and their families and helping create happy and fulfilling experiences for everyone.
