Our art therapy session was a wonderful opportunity to express creativity and have fun. Everyone enjoyed exploring different colours, textures, and artistic ideas. The activity encouraged self-expression, relaxation, and confidence in a supportive environment. It was lovely to see everyone engaged and proud of their creative work. 🎨🌈

What a wonderful afternoon of remembrance and celebration as we marked D-Day with our residents.

We were delighted to welcome the D-Day Dollies, whose fantastic performance transported everyone back to the 1940s with much-loved songs, cherished memories, and plenty of sing-alongs. Residents enjoyed an afternoon filled with music, laughter, and reflection as we honoured the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served during the Second World War.     

Our residents were delighted to welcome a special four-legged visitor for a pet therapy session. The friendly dog brought smiles, comfort, and companionship, creating a calm and joyful atmosphere throughout the home.

Residents enjoyed spending time petting, cuddling, and sharing stories inspired by their furry guest. These visits provide wonderful emotional benefits and are always a highlight for everyone involved.     

A huge congratulations to our Senior General Manager, Shaaron Caratella, on being named the Divisional Winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award at Barchester Healthcare. Shaaron has demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication and compassion towards her colleagues, staff and, most importantly, the residents she cares for. This is a truly well-deserved recognition of her commitment and the positive difference she makes every day. We are incredibly proud of you, Shaaron. Congratulations on this fantastic achievement.

Our Gentleman’s Club enjoyed a relaxing holistic therapy session focused on comfort, calmness, and wellbeing. The gentlemen took part in soothing head and hand massages, creating a peaceful and enjoyable experience. The session offered a wonderful opportunity to unwind, relax, and take some time for themselves. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying moments of tranquillity and feeling refreshed afterwards. Thank you to our Holistic Therapist Emma which made a difference in our resident’s life.

Father’s Day was a truly special celebration filled with laughter, memories, and appreciation. Residents enjoyed looking through treasured photographs, sharing stories from years gone by, and reminiscing about cherished moments with family and friends.

We also held our very own Father’s Day Awards, recognising our wonderful gentlemen in a variety of fun categories. From "Best Storyteller" and "Most Dapper Gentleman" to "Friendliest Smile" and "King of Dad Jokes," there were plenty of smiles, laughter, and proud moments throughout the afternoon.

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the wisdom, kindness, humour, and unique personalities that make our community so special. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the day so memorable and to all the incredible fathers, grandfathers, and father figures we were proud to celebrate.         

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful VE Day Mini Concert, celebrating the spirit of Victory in Europe Day through music and remembrance.

The event featured much-loved wartime songs, bringing back cherished memories and inspiring everyone to sing along. It was a joyful occasion filled with community spirit, reflection, and appreciation for those who served. A memorable afternoon celebrating history, friendship, and the power of music.          

Our visit to Morden Garden Centre was a lovely day filled with beautiful plants, colourful flowers, and plenty to explore.
We enjoyed looking around the garden displays and discovering new ideas for outdoor spaces.
It was a great opportunity to spend time together, enjoy the fresh air, and make happy memories.

We hosted Scam Prevention Awareness Workshop with Barclays Wimbledon for our staff and relatives.
The session provided valuable guidance on recognising common scams, staying safe online, and protecting personal and financial information.
It was a great opportunity to raise awareness and give our community practical tips to help prevent fraud.

As part of our Carers Week celebration, we brought all our carers together for a special gathering to recognise and thank them for the care, support, compassion, and love they provide every day. Whether you are a family member, friend, or a valued member of our care team, your kindness makes a real difference to the lives of our residents.

This year's theme, Building Carer Friendly Communities, reminds us that caring is everyone's responsibility and that together we can create supportive, inclusive communities where carers are recognised and valued.

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the dedication and commitment of our carers, spend time together, and express our heartfelt appreciation. Everyone enjoyed the special celebration, which was filled with smiles, laughter, and gratitude. Thank you to all our carers for the incredible difference you make every day.
