Activities at Queens Court Care Home

Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

Life at Queens Court Care Home

Mini Pamper session at Queens Court

We are fortunate to have Mariam working here. She used to be a make-up artist for Bollywood and she now hosts a mini pamper session for our residents. This means a favourite experience like hair dressing can still be enjoyed. J.W. had a great afternoon and requested several photographs of Miriam and her.

Burns Day Celebration

Queens Court celebrated Robert Burns Day with poetry and a dram of whisky with a Celebrate Scotland menu which included oatcakes, Cranachan, Haggis, Neeps & Tatties.

Dementia Friends Training

We would like to thank Jordan Dyke (Dementia Alliance) for the Zoom Dementia Friends training today. We would also like to thank those of you who joined and made the session so interactive. This training focuses on real life issues and highlights that even though we are experiencing a pandemic we can still help someone with Dementia to live well.

The Vaccine Arrives

We are thrilled to share with you that today the Residents at Queens Court Care Home received the COVID19 Vaccination. Thank you to Wimbledon Medical Practice, especially Dr D. Gangaprasad and Mrs J. Chambers for their amazing service.
This has been a very important step in helping us to get through this very difficult time and return to our normal life

Gifts from Ryder Family

Huge thanks to the Ryder family for the generous gifts. All the staff at Queens Court Care Home Wimbledon were delighted to receive them. The staff were also very appreciative of the kind words in the card and all the support shown by the family during this challenging time.

New Year’s Eve 2020

Today seems to be just the right time to show appreciation and say thank you to our Barchester support staff, relatives and residents for helping us to cope in an extremely difficult time. This collective gratitude reflects our experience this year and help us to be more optimistic and positive about 2021.
Thank you from Shaaron and Team Queens Court!
