Activities at Queens Court Care Home

Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

Sixteen attendees were able to join a Q&A session and allay their fears. Dr Keet is happy to take any emails on this or any other subject around older people's health on drkeet@drkeet.com

We at Queens Court have worked hard to ensure that none of our residents have been diagnosed with Covid 19 this last year and we are so pleased to confirm indoor visits from a nominated friend / relative have started today. KU came to visit her mother AR today and was given a special present to mark today. KU said that she is looking forward to visiting on Mother’s Day.

International Women's Day

Queens Court celebrated International Women’s Day by starting with Breakfast.
Shaaron Caratella (General Manager) said “we all recognise the achievements of women who work in care. They make a positive difference to the residents who live at Queens Court. Thank you’’

World Book Day

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed a "Zoom" World Book Day event compliments of the lovely children of Thomas' Clapham, Kings College, The Study Prep and Wimbledon Common Prep primary schools. The children read some wonderfully entertaining passages dressed in really creative and colourful character costumes culminating in us awarding the schools with donated books of their choice for the school libraries. It was just smashing!

Tea at the Ritz

Mrs W’s daughter in law kindly forwarded this photo of mum receiving our “Tea at the Ritz” at her address courtesy of our amazing chef and catering team here at Queens Court. The virtual event was a huge success and our competition winner has donated the prize, an hour long personal concert by singing sensation, Barry Stevens to our residents! “Because I’ll be living there soon myself” How lovely.
