Activities at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community

School Nativity

Residents were invited to The Kings School nativity play rehearsals and met some of the cast after the performance. We had front seats and loved every minute with the children, who were aged 3 to 5 years. We all had a wonderful time!

Last Cruise of the Year

Happy times as Beaumont residents enjoyed the final cruise of the year along the Macclesfield Canal on the Mary Sunley.

The weather was against us, but it didn’t dampen the fun. The autumn colours were a treat to see and we will be back on board next spring.

National Doodle Day

National Doodle Day

Prestbury Beaumont residents enjoyed the National Doodle Day on the 20th October by creating their own fascinating doodles. Ruth is pictured here with her own attractive and rather thought provoking doodle. Everyone found it relaxing and very therapeutic. So we may keep on doodling!

95th Birthday Celebration

95th Birthday Celebration

Mr Jim Tryon, a well-known volunteer who has been to central Africa 11 times over the last two decades, celebrated his 95th birthday whilst convalescing at the Prestbury Beaumont.

He marked this milestone, as seen here, by a celebration with his family and a visit from the Mayor of Macclesfield, Janet Jackson, with her consort.

Currently recuperating from illness the visit from Janet was a complete surprise. Unknown to him, she was invited to attend by a family friend.

Mr Tryon is an active supporter of Christian Relief Uganda (CRU) which works with underprivileged children.

Visiting the country over the last 20 years he has seen for himself the real difference this charity makes to their lives.

Cruise on the Canal

Residents recently enjoyed a cruise on the canal. They departed from the local marina on the Mary Sunley 2 which is a slow moving canal barge that allows everyone to take in the views across the beautiful Cheshire countryside. During the trip, refreshments were served and there was even a stop for ice cream as the sun was shining .

Everyone had a great day out, one resident in particular thrilled with the day. The lady had never been on a barge before, so really enjoyed every minute of the trip. The trip was a great way for people to create memories and spend time together doing something a little different.

Residents enjoy the wide range of activities the home provides to ensure their everyday live enrichment.

Garden Party , Garden Party

Garden Party

Prestbury Beaumont was definitely the place to be to share in a delightful summer garden party.

Residents, families and many friends were able to enjoy Pimm's and canapes on the lawn.

The jazz duo 'Strictly No Chasers', entertained everyon,  adding sophistication and a great atmosphere to the event, playing a selection of popular songs.

A wonderful day was enjoyed by all!
