Activities at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community

King's School Macclesfield

King's School Macclesfield

Children from the King‘s Pre-School have brought a ray of sunshine into the lives of the residents at Prestbury Beaumont Home. Inspired by the Channel 4 TV series ‘Old People’s Home for 4-year-olds’, a party of adorable three and four-year-olds from the Macclesfield's school have visited the care regularly throughout the year.

David, Activities Coordinator said: “It’s been a truly remarkable experience for everyone. Both the children and our residents have taken to it like ducks to water. When the children come they know exactly where to go, who to see in which rooms and what they want to visit.”  He added: “We have one resident that I had not heard laugh before, but when the children come you can hear the laughter coming out of his room.

It’s been genuinely heart-warming and a very positive experience for both generations.

The Game Is On!

The Game Is On!

The reception class from King's School in Macclesfield paid us another visit and challenged us to several games of noughts and crosses. The competition was fierce!

Fun in the Sun

Fun in the Sun

After making Easter bonnets, residents tried them out in the spring sunshine with a nice, cool drink. It made for a pleasant afternoon!

Spring Flowers

Spring Flowers

Spring has arrived at Prestbury Beaumont, along with a host of golden daffodils that are much-admired by a resident, who was so pleased to see them close up.

Mischief Makers

The little rascals of King's School came to join us for the afternoon. It was a pleasure to watch them interact with the residents and have fun.

Antiques Homeshow

Happy with his latest find, TV's Adam Partridge entertained us with his valuations and knowledge of antiques that have been brought in by residents and guests. Some items were highly valued, and others not so much, but at least we know now!
