Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. They develop and oversee an active living programme for each resident, which encourages mobility, social contact, independence and fun. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Newton House Care Home
Green Fingers
Our residents stayed safe, fit, healthy and enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine, whilst outside participating in some gardening activities.
Rainbows at Newton
Our residents enjoyed making rainbow hearts in their arts and crafts session to ‘spread hope’ during the coronavirus by putting them in their windows to lift people’s spirits.
Technology to the rescue
Spirits are kept high at Newton House, as residents are in regular contact with their loved ones, thanks to the use of our home's tablet devices. By using Skype and Facetime, residents are able to communicate and share smiles with their family and friends during tough times.
RSPCA Visit Newton
Many thanks to the RSPCA who visited our residents at Newton House with some of the most cutest of rescue animals, followed by a presentation of all the wonderful work they do.
Story Telling Week
Our residents loved Rehannah coming in and telling them the story of local legend Robin Hood. Great costume too!
Arts & Crafts with Poplar Farm School
The school children came into Newton House and had a terrific time taking part in an arts and crafts session with our residents. Everyone really enjoyed themselves.

Every second Monday of the month. Make friends and enjoy a warm chat in our cafe area with snacks and refreshments.
Blue Light Break
Calling all Emergency Service workers. You are warmly welcome to join us for a break within our homes cafe areas.
